We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role Salary: Circa £65,000 commensurate with skills and experience What you’ll be doing: Lead business capability, including CAPEX requirements, to maintain and advance test equipment and systems aligned with electronic and electrical needs Act as the Engineering Authority’s delegate, upholding business management systems to meet process requirements for electrical and electronic delivery Manage, mentor, and strategically place Electrical and Electronic Engineering graduates on assignments, ensuring alignment with project goals and career development Liaise across functions to support both short-term recruitment needs and strategic workforce planning for long-term capability. Oversee engineering practices, conducting Design and Technical Bid Reviews and providing assurance for the engineering function. The Team: BAE Systems Maritime Services provides products and support services to a diverse range of customers world-wide across two business delivery streams, products and warship. This role sits within the engineering function which supports both core delivery streams in providing engineers with the right level of SQEP to meet the demands of the product development, manufacture and support delivery to the range of customers. The business has circa 1550 professional engineers whose employment, recruitment and development are coordinated by Seven discipline leads, of which this most is one. There is no direct line management responsibility, but the individual is expected to engage with each of the circa 200 individuals who are contained within the electronic and electrical discipline. These individuals operate in low technology maturity levels in sensors, automation and across the delivery of support to the variety of clients that use current and legacy products delivered by the business.
