The Opportunity Due to our client’s growing team of chemical specialists, they are currently searching for an experienced Production Activity Coordinator to be responsible for the efficient and safe day-to-day operations of the plant. This role involves coordinating activities, managing raw materials, waste stream and ensuring optimal utilisation of storage tanks and ISOs, maintaining a safe working environment and supporting maintenance activities within the designated area.

Your duties and responsibilities
Shop floor Coordination
Oversee daily shop floor activities to ensure production target and daily output are met. Coordinate with production teams to optimise workflow and resource allocation. Monitor production progress and address any issues or delays promptly. Ensure adherence to safety, quality and environment standards. Lead the implementation of shopfloor management programme, to ensure daily operation organisation is compliant with SHE requirements, equipment care, production and customer needs. (i.e daily plant alignment in terms of priorities, progress, issues and mitigation to ensure continuity across shifts).Raw Material Management
Manage inventory and movement of raw materials within designated area (right raw materials on plant, in the right area and right amount to achieve production schedule). Coordinate with the supply chain and manufacturing logistic team to ensure timely material availability. Conduct weekly stock checks and reconcile discrepancies Implement inventory control measures to optimize storage and minimise waste Monitor storage tank level and ensure optimal utilization Coordinate mobile tanks/isotanks cleaning and maintenance activities to support the manufacturing logistic team. Adhere to safety regulations and procedures for handling and storing materials. Ensure logistics planning of: Raw Materials, Product Despatches, Product Repacking, Waste Removal and Isotanks internal arrangement is aligned and adherent to the production planning schedule.Safety
Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and procedures Conduct safety checks and inspections within area Report any safety hazards or incident immediately Promoting a safety-first culture among the team Duty Manager.Maintenance Coordination
Support maintenance activities by proving necessary information and assistance. Coordinate with maintenance and Shift Team Leader to schedule equipment repairs and maintenance, as well as organise. shift team resource to prepare plant for maintenance work. Ensure production schedules area adjusted to accommodate planned maintenance activities. Co-ordinate production and maintenance for Performance Chemicals Manufacturing Facilities. Setting priorities for maintenance resource allocation against production demands for Performance Chemical areas.Key deliverables you will be responsible for Safety: safety incident rate, safety compliance. Production efficiency: on-time delivery, production output, reduced overtime. Inventory Accuracy: Stock accuracy, inventory turnover, reduced stock discrepancies. Equipment Uptime: equipment availability, reduced maintenance downtime. Communication Effectiveness: timely response to production issues, effective collaboration with teams.You will have the following qualifications and experience HNC qualification in relevant discipline. Experience in manufacturing or production environment. Strong organisational, time management skills, attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, influence decision-making and drive positive changes. Adapt to change and overcome challenges. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Basic understanding of inventory control principles Safety awareness and knowledge of relevant regulations.The setting for the role Risks and Hazards are in line with working on a chemical site. These can include, chemical burns, trips and falls, overexertion,cuts and scrapes, chemical exposure, inhalation of chemicals and confined spaces. A full site induction will be provided and all safety requirements must be adhered to when entering the site.
