Are you social media savvy and love creating compelling digital content?
We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Communications Assistant to join our central Communications Team here at Solihull Council.
Working alongside colleagues in Adult Social Care, the web and communications teams, you will be responsible for managing and creating engaging digital content across the Adult Social Care directorate.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Creating up to date and engaging website copy, content and storytelling
* Advising the service area on streamlining existing web pages
* Managing social media channels such as Facebook and Instagram
* Using monitoring software to assess quality and accessibility
* Analysing and reporting on digital content, presenting data via dashboards and reports
You will have:
* An undergraduate degree in any subject, or previous paid employment experience in a content/digital role
* Previous experience and enthusiasm for digital content creation and/or website content
* Knowledge and understanding of the role and responsibilities of a local authority
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience of using social media
* The ability to interpret analytical data to support evidence-based decision making
* An awareness of the importance of accessibility in digital content creation

The role will involve working on a hybrid basis between home and the Council offices in Solihull town centre.
