The Creative Industries School at Kingston College are seeking a Head of Section in Art & Design to lead and manage the curriculum area and be an active member of the School Management Group (SMG).
The Head of Section and other members of SMG are responsible for effectively applying College procedures such as target-setting, progress review calendars, and ensuring all curriculum delivery is of high quality. You will drive growth and manage changes to the curriculum as required; ensure full compliance with funding body regulations and act as a Safeguarding Officer for the School and specifically at the Creative Industries Centre site.
The role carries with it a professional responsibility to be a highly competent user of key College systems and to be thoroughly acquainted with all College policies and procedures.
As our Head of Section, we would like you to hold a degree or equivalent in an applicable subject and hold a management qualification (or be willing to work towards it). Recognised as an effective teacher, you will hold a teaching qualification and have a proven track record of improving and managing a high-quality curriculum.
With sound knowledge of the curriculum offered in the Section and a firm grasp of current and impending national changes, you will have a proven record of effective curriculum development and growth with demonstrable leadership and management skills and experience in the context of curriculum and staff management.
