About You
About The Role
This role is being advertised as a full time position for 40 hours a week, however we are flexible with this and welcome applicants who would be able to work within the hours of 9:30am - 2:30pm on a flexible contract. We are currently looking for a skilled chef to join our team. If you are passionate about cooking and looking for a role that suits your schedule, we would love to hear from you!
Job Scope
1. Prepare and cook food for service users and staff, following all guidelines for food hygiene and health and safety.
2. Control of ALL food that leaves the kitchen.
3. Exceptionally good housekeeping.
4. Take full responsibility for the cleaning of the kitchen.
5. Deliver exceptional customer service.
Job Responsibilities
1. The preparation and cooking of all food.
2. Monitoring and guiding staff while working in the kitchen.
3. Help with input of new menus, supporting choice and promoting healthy eating.
4. Completing all documentation required legally and by Salutem.
5. Working closely with the line manager on all food related issues.
6. Ensuring food preparation areas are clean and tidy.
7. Ensuring stock rotation and stock takes are completed.
8. Daily and weekly ordering of all food related stock.
9. Ensuring all equipment used is safe and clean, reporting any issues to the line manager.
10. Ensuring that all Salutem policies and procedures are followed.
11. Maintaining a professional appearance at all times while at work.
12. Being aware of the aims and objectives of the services.
13. Undertaking any other duty deemed reasonable as required by your manager.
14. Adhering to health and safety policy and procedures, identifying hazards and undertaking appropriate risk assessments.
