Our client, a renowned consultancy firm with a rapidly expanding Construction Health and Safety team, is seeking an exceptional Construction Health and Safety Consultant to join their talented group of specialists in Bristol. This team provides comprehensive health and safety advice tailored to the construction sector, working across diverse industries including commercial, healthcare, science, industry, energy, and education. As part of this dedicated team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality health and safety services to both internal and external clients. The position involves independently providing construction H&S advice and acting as a CDM Advisor/Principal Designer on a range of projects, ensuring compliance with the CDM Regulations 2015. Role Overview You will be instrumental in delivering strategic, tactical, and operational health and safety solutions for clients. Key responsibilities include: Developing and implementing policies and procedures. Conducting site inspections and audits. Writing progress reports and engaging directly with clients. Supporting the creation and execution of tailored training programmes. Your expertise will contribute to the success and growth of this collaborative team, providing robust solutions to meet client objectives while maintaining the highest standards of technical and commercial excellence. Key Responsibilities CDM Commissions: Lead on CDM-related tasks, ensuring compliance and risk reduction. Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying new opportunities and supporting business growth. Technical Excellence: Deliver high-quality reports, pre-construction information, and Health & Safety files. Collaboration: Participate in meetings, client discussions, and contribute to bid submissions and fee proposals. Training & Presentations: Deliver engaging training sessions and assist with presentations for bids and client pitches. Networking: Expand professional networks and maintain relationships with existing clients. Skills & Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess: Knowledge of the design and construction process, with an understanding of risk reduction principles. In-depth familiarity with CDM Regulations 2015 and associated legislation. A NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent qualification. Professional memberships such as Associate Member of the Association for Project Safety (APS) or Technical IOSH. A strong track record of Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with SharePoint or similar platforms. Additional Desirables A NEBOSH Diploma or additional health and safety qualifications. Prior consultancy experience is highly valued, though candidates with contractor-side experience are also encouraged to apply
