About the role Temporary full-time (5 months) We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work in Councils Fire Safety team. The position is responsible for the maintenance of an essential services database and negotiating with property owners, consultants and other stakeholders Essential criteria Completion or near completion of a certificate in office administration, building surveying or relevant area An understanding of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and Regulation and their role for Annual Fire Safety Statements Demonstrated computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and database management Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain legislation to the general public Proven ability to meet time constraints and manage multiple tasks Desirable criteria An understanding of Council’s annual fire safety statement program A current Class C Driver Licence Commencing salary: $76,329.00 per annum, plus 11.5% Superannuation. You may be required to undertake background checks, as relevant to the position for which you have applied.
