Electrical Engineer - Energy Industry - Kildare
Our client is a leading Irish multi-disciplinary Engineering company based in County Kildare. Our Client is looking for experienced Electrical Engineers for projects in the energy industry.
The successful candidate will:
1. Review and understand schematics, GA plans, and project specifications
2. Design development, validate equipment and systems
3. A trade background with a third level qualification
4. Ability to develop scopes, specifications, and carry out LV design
5. Reporting to the Project Manager on project progress, risks, and issues
6. Analyse supplier information for alignment with design specifications
7. Proven record of coordinating on projects
8. Knowledge of Trimble Pro Design, Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD, MS Project
9. Excellent communication skills
10. Ability to work well under pressure and within a strict deadline environment
11. Ability to drive a large-scale project
12. Ensure the Construction Team is adhering to all Contractual requirements and providing advice and monitoring of same
13. Manage overall project delivery from inception to completion
14. Daily and weekly progress reports on works completed
15. Chair and attend regular meetings with the Client
16. Identify issues and risks at the earliest opportunity and resolve or escalate issues as appropriate
17. Schedule of workload, equipment, and resources
18. Liaise with the SHEQ Manager (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality) on all project SHEQ matters
19. Support Business Development, through tendering and business networking
20. Ensure our core Customer Care principles are adhered to
Job Requirements
1. Experience working on multi-discipline projects
2. A Degree in Engineering or Management plus minimum 5 years post-qualification experience within the industry would be a distinct advantage
3. Experience in LV electrical systems and open to developing knowledge in MV/HV
4. Excellent Commercial knowledge and understanding
5. Strong IT skills with Microsoft Office packages, including diagnostic skills
6. Ensure clear and appropriate goals are set; focus well on targets; demonstrate enthusiasm and drive to consistently deliver quality in performance
7. Ability to motivate and encourage others whilst taking the lead
