To assess patients, plan and implement care including emotional and psychological needs. Provide education and training to other staff. Within the focus of Specialist Practice ( Breast Care): Assist in specialist nursing procedures and clinical support for thisdesignated group of patients. As a member of the breast sub unit will be involved in the planning, deliveryand evaluation of the service and the specialist nursing care provided, forthis designated group of patients. This input is maintained throughout thepatient journey from initial assessment, throughout surgical treatment anduntil discharge following patient initiated follow up. Assist in specialist education and training to members of the multidisciplinary team, nursing colleagues and others external to the organisation. Participate in research and clinical audit in own specialist area of practice. This post is both a senior clinical post and a leadership role. To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the trust. This means demonstrating a consistent leadership style which (a) engages, enables and empowers others (b) uses coaching to promote ownership of learning and quality improvement and (c) facilitates team working and collaboration within teams/departments and across organisational boundaries.
