We have an exciting new opportunity as a Risk & Governance Senior Business Partner - Data within the C&M Governance and Assurance team working closely with the Chief Data Officer and their teams to support and oversee data risk management under the Aviva Risk Framework.
This role would be ideal for someone who has experience of working in a risk or governance role that has supported customer data management, data projects or Data Governance and Privacy management activities. You will join the team at an exciting time to provide your guidance to ensure we create safe, secure and world class data capabilities that power amazing customer experiences.
Your role will be pivotal in making sure that we meet our risk management obligations to protect our customers, deliver our Risk Goals and achieve our strategic objectives. A bit about the job:
You will support the Head of Governance and Assurance and Chief Data Officer and their teams to ensure the C&M data risk and controls are being delivered and integrated into the business in a safe way and in line with the Aviva risk appetite.
As the Data Risk and controls Senior Manager, you will provide data risk expertise within the 1st line C&M Risk team, working closely with the Chief Data Officer and their teams to support and oversee data risk management under the Aviva Risk Framework. Your responsibilities include strengthening the data risk regime, ensuring the application of appropriate controls for data consistency and integrity, overseeing strategic data change activities, performing risk assurance across customer data ecosystems, and providing oversight on Data Governance and Privacy activities. Additionally, you will collaborate with Audit, Risk, Business teams, IT, and change programs to manage emerging risks and support data requirements.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
* Detailed understanding of risk management frameworks, data risk and control management, and data regulations in both a run and change environment within a highly regulated business, ideally within Financial Services.
* Ability to provide specialist advice on all aspects of Data Risk, Control and Governance, by keeping up with emerging risks, industry trends and regulatory changes, assess their impact and ensure that best practices are embedded in day-to-day operations.
* Must be able to evidence strong stakeholder management skills at all levels in a challenge and support capacity, with proven ability to work in complex matrix business structure.
* Excellent report writing skills, with previous experience of preparing reports and presentations for Board level review.

* National salary: circa £70,000, London salary: circa £80,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
