Key Responsibilities: Reporting directly to the Department Director. Managing all aspects of Public Law work, including providing technical expertise and guidance. Supervising Solicitors, Trainee Solicitors, and Caseworkers. Assisting with training and development within the department. Handling a diverse range of Public Law cases, including unlawful detention, false imprisonment, and asylum support. Preparing and managing funding applications to the Legal Aid Agency. Drafting documents, processing evidence, and attending conferences and court. Skills and Experience Required: Law Society Immigration Accreditation. A clean, valid Practising Certificate. Strong management skills and previous supervisory experience. Commitment to providing excellent client service. Ability to handle sensitive client matters and resolve complex Public Law issues. Excellent networking and communication skills. Working knowledge of Legal Aid Guidance for Public Law matters. Extensive experience in Public Law-related work. Advocacy experience is an advantage.
