Dolphin is our specialist cardiac ward. We have 16 beds, 5 of which are based within our specialist high dependency unit. We care for patients from the age of 0 up to 18 years old. We are a specialist children's cardiac centre, providing care across the south west of England and Wales.
Zoe, the ward sister, says Dolphin will encourage and support you to be the best nurse you can be, providing you with the best cardiac learning opportunities and experience. Dolphin ward has a fantastic cardiac education program that will support your development and knowledge in this exciting specialty. You will gain the skills to care for children with coronary heart disease who require not just regional specialist care but also critical high dependency level care. So, there is always something new to learn or be involved in. The team on Dolphin ward are fun, friendly and really supportive. It's an amazing place to work.
Main duties of the job
Bristol Royal Hospital for Children provides services for children from across the south west of England and is one of the UK's five specialist Paediatric Major Trauma Centres. The hospital is nestled in the heart of the lively city of Bristol, a city brimming with art and culture, restaurants and nightlife. Please note that this vacancy is not suitable for internationally educated nurses requiring to complete OSCE in order to register with the NMC UK.
