Our client, an independent London law firm, is looking to secure a Commercial Litigation Lawyer on a contract basis for a minimum of 3 months in duration due to a high volume of work.
The litigation team handles a full range of commercial litigation matters, including (but not limited to) shareholder disputes, joint venture disputes, contract disputes, civil fraud, professional negligence, and banking litigation. The team is routinely retained on high-value domestic and cross-jurisdictional disputes opposite respected US, Magic Circle, and other City practices.
Our client is also conflict-fee, allowing them to litigate against financial institutions and banks that other firms count as key finance and/or corporate clients.
The successful commercial litigation lawyer will join a small and well-respected team that offers a genuine alternative to the traditional City firm.
It is likely that the successful litigation lawyer will be able to demonstrate:
1. Qualification as a solicitor in England & Wales, or another commonwealth jurisdiction (such as Australia and New Zealand)
2. Ideally between 2-6 PQE, although applicants outside of this bracket will also be considered
3. A strong commercial litigation background with experience gained from notable firms
4. The genuine desire to join an independent firm in London
5. The ability to commit to a contract role of 3 months in duration, as a minimum
6. An exceptional eye for detail
The firm operates on a hybrid working pattern, requiring 3 days per week in the London office.
While the initial contract is expected to run for 3 months, there is potential for further extension.
Please apply with your CV to Jennifer Pike in confidence.
Please note that where a level of preferred experience or qualification is indicated, this is a guideline only and does not preclude applications from candidates with more or less experience.
