We have an opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join the Maintenance team in Wrexham. Reporting to the Maintenance Engineering Supervisor, the role will be at our production facility and involve the following:
1. Diagnosing, fault finding and repair of Medium/Heavy industrial plant and machinery.
2. Completing preventative maintenance checks and inspections.
3. Developing and implementing modifications to improve reliability of plant and machinery.
4. Working as a team with manufacturing and maintenance colleagues.
5. Ability to communicate effectively.
6. Working to a continuous shift pattern with necessary overtime to cover holidays.
7. Adherence to Health & Safety with absolute priority.
8. Lifting and handling plant and machinery components using appropriate equipment and techniques.
Qualifications/Experience
1. Time served with EITB/equivalent Certificate of Craftsmanship.
2. Hydraulic and pneumatic.
3. Welding and brazing.
4. Rigging of unbalanced loads.
5. Risk assessment and safety awareness, guarding of machinery legislation.
6. High pressure steam maintenance.
7. MS Office or equivalent.
8. Ability to read technical drawings.
9. Minimum of BTEC ONC level in Mechanical Engineering.
The Person
Time served with experience in all aspects of mechanical maintenance engineering. Self-motivated and must appreciate the demands of a 24/7 continuous production process with a keen to get the job finished attitude. Good team working and communication skills.
Working hours to be discussed at interview and confirmed, however likely to involve shift work.
