This is an excellent opportunity for a fully qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) looking to progress their career. You will be reporting to the Financial Director and working as part of the finance team ensuring the smooth running of the accounting function especially regarding the production and delivery of accurate and timely monthly management accounts and all other reporting and associated KPI's for a large group of Care Homes and its Head Office., Preparation and presentation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts
Production & development of MI pack for Senior Management and Directors
Monthly Balance sheet reconciliations including Prepayments, Accruals and Intercompany
Financial forecasting and reporting
Managing cash flow and bank balances
Variance analysis and reporting
Develop & implement new procedures to improve the financial processes
Develop, implement and monitor internal controls
Production of Financial Year-end pack for external audit team
Investigate and recommend IT initiatives
Ad-hoc project work
The Successful Applicant
Recognised accountancy qualification ACCA, ACA or CIMA or equivalent
Strong balance sheet control
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritise workloads in a pressured environment and adhere to strict deadlines
Forward-thinking, with a high attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours Monday to Friday and offers 23 days holiday plus bank holidays pro rata, auto enrolment pension and free parking on site.
Successful applicants would require two written references, a standard/enhanced DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) (depending on role) and evidence of a right to work in the UK check.
