We are seeking a talented Service Designer to join our clients leading team in London, working as part of a multi - disciplinary team using agile methodologies to deliver user-centric services. Our client specialise in delivering service design solutions across the public sector, thus candidates must ideally be holding an Active SC Clearance or eligible to go through the process.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead service design efforts through comprehensive planning, documentation, and presenting clear methodologies for user research and design.
* Map complex services and user journeys to provide actionable insights that simplify and optimise user experiences.
* Visualise the service and customer experience using journey mapping, diagramming, storyboarding, and information design, effectively showcasing end-to-end processes.
* Analyse both qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions, interpreting user behaviour and translating findings into actionable strategies.
* Synthesize research findings to create user stories and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement these insights into service design.
* Facilitate workshops and co-design sessions with stakeholders at all levels, articulating complex design concepts through storytelling, evidence, and design artifacts.
* Present actionable insights to stakeholders, using clear and confident communication to drive strategic service improvements.
* Champion user research practices, influencing project roadmaps and expanding the reach of user-centred design across teams.
* Innovate the service design and research practice, integrating cutting-edge methods and techniques to enhance service delivery.
* Contribute to the development of the practice, supporting the growth of the user research community and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.
What We’re Looking For:
* A future-focused mindset with a curiosity for innovation and evolving design practices.
* 8+ years of experience in service design, with a strong background in delivering user-centred design solutions.
* Extensive experience working as a Service Designer, with a proven track record of managing user-centred design projects.
* Business fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong experience in stakeholder management, fostering relationships both internally and externally.
* Expertise in using user-centred design methods and practices, including accessibility standards.
* Experience working as a solo Service Designer, taking ownership of projects from inception to delivery.
* A history of effectively presenting insights to a range of stakeholders, transforming research into actionable recommendations.
Desirable Experience:
* Exposure to GDS and service standards within the public sector.
* Experience working on public sector projects and understanding of their unique requirements.
