Overview
The Facilities Manager will excel at overseeing all aspects of facilities operations for a small business. This position calls for a proactive person who can guarantee that our facilities are safe, functional, and efficient, both indoors and outdoors. The Manager should possess a solid background in facility management, exceptional organisational skills, and the capability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Full Time and Part Time Applicants will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
* Utility Management: Oversee relationships with utility providers, ensuring services are efficient and cost-effective.
* Security Coordination: Manage security providers to maintain a safe and secure environment for all employees and visitors.
* Health and Safety Compliance: Arrange regular health and safety inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and to promote a safe workplace.
* Equipment Testing: Establish a suitable timetable for PAT Testing.
* Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate regular calibration and maintenance of equipment to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
* Building Maintenance: Oversee building maintenance tasks, including repairs, managing Cleaner contractors and upgrades, ensuring a well-maintained facility.
* Contractor and Supplier Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for contractors, suppliers, and general tradespeople to facilitate smooth operations and project management.
* Estate Management: Manage contracts with Estate Managers, ensuring facilities are well-maintained and meet the needs of the business.
* Parking Arrangements: Coordinate additional parking arrangements to accommodate staff and visitors as needed.
* Office Layout and Support: Assist with office layout planning, including telephone and equipment locations, to optimise space and work efficiency.
