Due to continued growth, they require a Health and Safety Advisor. The HSQE Advisor will work across all business units, promoting best practice in all matters relating to health, safety and environmental, whilst ensuring compliance with company policies and legislation governing the industry. Responsibilities: Ensure company-wide compliance with HSE legislation and guidance Update company management systems for HSEQ Work with senior management team to create strategies aimed at improving HSQE performance Carry out in-house health and safety training Liaise with clients regarding HSQE Help Project Managers with CDM requirements and the production of Construction Phase Plans Carry out incident investigations, including the creation of detailed reports to identify route causes and recommend improvements Analyse accident and incident statistics, identify patterns / trends and suggest improvements Give toolbox talks and briefings to raise awareness of HSE Train new starters, so they are familiar with company systems, documents and processes Ensure continued adherence to company accreditations, managing audits to make sure they are passed Carry out on site audits and HSE inspections to monitor company performance Conduct internal audits and quality checks of documents Carry out subcontractor audits, review and approve new applications Experience and Qualifications: Previous experience as a Health & Safety Advisor / SHEQ Advisor / HSQE Advisor in the construction or utilities sector NEBOSH Driving licence This HSE Advisor role is ideal for a health and safety professional who wants to progress in their career and take on more responsibility in a role that can lead change in behaviours and improve an already strong safety culture.
