The Role and Our Team
The Resource Management team is responsible for financial planning, monitoring, processing, and procurement. We are passionate about helping the organisation to deliver, while also ensuring colleagues are aligned with our processes to drive best use of public money.

We are looking for a resilient individual to join the team to lead our busy financial processing team. Reporting to the Head of Processing you will lead 2 Processing teams on purchase to pay ensuring our service is compliant with Departmental guidelines, and taking responsibility for financial management, business performance and operational improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Line Management for 2 Financial Processing teams ensuring a professional, reliable, quality service to OPSS.
* Reporting and monitoring performance on Purchase to Pay across OPSS and driving up finance capability.
* Developing a Debt management strategy across the business for its OGD recoveries, licensing, and penalties legislation.
* Responsibility for more complex purchasing requirements such as Estates and Digital spending across OPSS, working with Procurement and Reporting functions.
* Ensuring OPSS remains compliant with current guidelines and representing OPSS at purchase to pay forums in DBT and beyond.
* Leading on service improvement including developing the OPSS Finance ASHA Intranet site.
* Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with business teams, Suppliers, UKSBS, Commercial, Finance and Audit.
