These exciting roles will work closely together to combine community engagement, project management, and partnership working to support people in using local parks for their health and wellbeing.
About us
We are a young charity dedicated to tackling inequalities in accessing parks. Through the Wild and Well project, funded by the Health Innovation Fund, we support under-served communities in Hartcliffe, Withywood, Stockwood and Lawrence Hill, encouraging greater use of parks for community-led activities and initiatives.
The role
As the Community Health Network Lead, you will:
* Organise community meetings and support local initiatives.
* Recruit and empower Community Champions to engage residents in park activities.
* Collaborate with the local health system to promote the health benefits of green spaces.
* Work with residents to develop projects like the Hartcliffe Loop, a family-friendly walking route connecting local parks or a new Green Social Prescribing project for communities in Lawrence Hill.
* Champion under-served communities, particularly those facing barriers to accessing parks.
About you

* Strong community engagement or development experience.
* Outstanding people skills and an empathetic, inclusive mindset.
* Knowledge of South Bristol and the barriers faced by local communities in accessing parks.
* A passion for the health and wellbeing benefits of green spaces.
We are especially keen to hear from candidates with lived experience of these barriers, and we encourage applications from Global Majority communities, Disabled people, carers, and those from low-income households.
What we offer
* Flexible, home-based working with access to office space in Engine Shed.
* A supportive team committed to diversity and inclusion.
* The chance to make a tangible impact in local communities.
