What you will do:
1. Own the end-to-end design process, from research and wireframing to prototyping and the final UI design.
2. Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate ideas into user-friendly experiences.
3. Conduct user research and usability testing to inform your design decisions.
4. Maintain and contribute to our design system, ensuring consistency across all products.
5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve our design approach.

What you will need:
1. Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders.
2. You will have previous experience in product design & UX/UI or related field. Financial services experience is advantageous although not essential.
3. Platform experience: Previous experience designing for web and native app is essential.
4. Accessibility knowledge: A basic understanding of WCAG. Using the guidelines and best practices to create accessible experiences.
5. Portfolio: A portfolio that shows the best of your work, with accompanying case studies to showcase your design thinking, process, and execution.
6. Tools: Proficiency in using Figma. Some experience in using JIRA would be preferred.
7. User-Centered Mindset: A deep passion for understanding user needs and solving complex problems with elegant design solutions.
8. Collaboration: Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
