Job Title: Senior IT Project Manager
Location: Preston. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: Circa £65,000 depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
1. Managing a number of medium-large projects to time, cost and quality within the Enterprise IT department via a matrix organisation
2. Working with suppliers to define and manage project plans which will achieve the project goals and consequent business outcomes via the tracking of key milestones / activities
3. Ensuring project delivery adheres to LCM (Life Cycle Management) governance and assurance criteria
4. Managing and communicating directly with senior stakeholders across BAE
Your skills and experiences:
1. Demonstrable understanding of project lifecycle management / methodology
2. Experience of working within an environment with mature and established governance practices and processes
3. Experience of successfully managing 3rd parties as part of delivery
4. Formal Project Management training, preferably PRINCE2 Practitioner or APM (PMDY)
5. Proven experience of both waterfall and agile project delivery methodologies

Within the project team, you will deliver business and enterprise IT Projects to cost, timescale, quality, and customer satisfaction, into the UK’s Leading Defence Companies. This is an opportunity to work with the product and applications portfolio, amongst a team of Project Managers split across 5 functions. This team will manage a range of active projects, with varying time scales.
