This is an opportunity for an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist to join The Deans Neurological Centre, a service for people with Acquired Brain Injuries (ABI) and progressive neurological conditions. The successful candidate will be instrumental in promoting health and independence by delivering high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions, as well as providing clinical leadership, supervision, and consultation to the wider multidisciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
The Senior Occupational Therapist will be responsible for communicating effectively with a range of clinicians, managers, directors, associate directors, people who access services, carers/supporters/family members, stakeholders, and agencies. They will also provide compassionate and effective leadership to junior staff, including support staff and assistants, ensure the delivery of occupational therapy student placements, support the completion of appraisals/personal development plans with junior staff, and be responsible for the development and implementation of appropriate policies, protocols, and care pathways.
Job responsibilities
Your responsibilities as a Senior Occupational Therapist will include:

* Ensuring the delivery of occupational therapy student placements.

To be a successful Senior Occupational Therapist you will need:
* Occupational Therapy profession qualification.
* UK HCPC Registration.
* Extensive and relevant post-qualification clinical experience with children and young people who have complex needs.
* Extensive experience of applying occupational frames of reference and approaches.
* Demonstrated evidence of highly effective clinical reasoning skills.
* Highly specialist knowledge of relevant assessment and treatment models.
* Knowledge of how to work with neurodiverse individuals.
