Mechanical Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and maintain plant equipment during production shifts, addressing breakdowns promptly.
Perform both reactive and preventive maintenance to enhance equipment reliability.
Collaborate with the maintenance team to execute maintenance schedules and implement plant improvements.
Adhere to health and safety regulations, conducting risk assessments for systems like steam, compressed air, and hydraulics.
Support engineering projects and contribute ideas for operational enhancements.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Ensure consistent staffing levels by covering shifts when needed.Candidate Profile:
A recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering (e.g., ONC, NVQ Level 3).
Proven experience in both preventive and reactive maintenance.
Knowledge of welding, pneumatics, and hydraulics is desirable.
A safety-conscious mindset with the ability to identify and mitigate risks effectively.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
