What you’ll be doing:
* Develop,implement, and maintain the Safety Management System (SMS)
* Lead Product Safety hazard andrisk identification, management, and assessment activities
* Oversee the administration andmanagement of the Project HazardLog
* Complete peer reviews,checking, verification and assurance tasks to demonstrate theadequacy and robustness of the Safety Case and supportingdocumentation
* Understand the application ofwider Safety Case, Quality and Management System documentation
* Influence the construction anddelivery of the Project Safety Case including Safety Casereports
* Produce, present andarticulate clear and logical technical safety arguments
* Providing independent productdesign and assurance against life cycle as well as engineeringproduct policies
* Provide technical support andoversight to the assessment and quantification of functionalintegration risk
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
* Knowledge ofHAZOP/HAZIN/FTA
* Experience in the use ofSafety Management Systems(SMS)
* STEM Degree or equivalentexperience
Desirable:
* Experience inchairing Hazard Identification (HAZIN) meetings
* Experience inmentoring/coaching teams/individuals
* Submarines design life-cycleexperience

This is an excitingopportunity to join an established team tasked which offersexposure to the wider strategic initiative. You will be workingwith a team of people from principals to apprentices, liaising withoperational managers, and heads of departments. This role offersexposure to the Wider Control Damage Hazards team whilstindividually being given the opportunity for professional growthwithin the function. We offer relocation supportpackages across all Submarines roles, subject to meetingeligibilitycriteria.
