Salary £24,089 (pro rata)
Part time – 26 hours per week OR 24.5 hours per week (12 month maternity cover – Sept 24 to Aug 25)
We have an exciting opportunity for a part time Nursery Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team in the 2-5’s room. We are looking for someone with an enthusiasm for providing a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment in which the children can flourish and thrive.
No qualification is necessary for the post but experience with working with children under 5 years is required.
This post has a choice of 2 working patterns:
Either: Monday 9-3, Tuesday 9-5.30, Wednesday 9-3, Thursday 9-3 (26 hours)
Or: Monday 11.45-2.30, Tuesday 10.15-2.30, Wednesday 8.30-5.30, Thursday 8.30-2.30, Friday 11.45-2.45 (24.5 hours)
You will be:
• Assisting the nursery nurses with the care and supervision of the children
• Assisting with the preparation and provision of suitable activities
• Attending to the physical, social and emotional needs of the children, working in partnership with parents to ensure that each child reaches their potential
• Participating in on-going training.
You should have:
• Experience of working with children under 5 years
• A good standard of written and spoken English
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• A commitment to working in partnership with parents to provide a high standard of childcare.
