The Staff Nurse plays an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team and has strong working relationships with other healthcare providers. The Staff Nurse assists in the management and organisation of work as required, ensuring effective communication and the maintenance of high standards of quality patient care on a shift basis. The Staff Nurse plays a key role in the supervision and assessment of all learners and unregistered staff, providing a teaching role and acting as a named mentor.
