Overview of role
Location: Newcastle-under-Lyme
Salary: £36,019.20
As Technical Controller, it is your responsibility to manage the activities of the Technical Team to deliver industry-leading food safety & quality standards. You will work closely with site operations teams to optimise cross-functional cooperation, to deliver departmental objectives whilst ensuring adherence to high standards in maintaining & further improving compliance with internal KPIs, customer expectations, & legal obligations.
You’ll ensure the site delivers product development projects to the agreed quality standards & cost and oversee the quality management system & food safety audits. You will coach & encourage the development of your team to drive performance through a culture of continuous improvement & customer focus. You’ll also educate the site teams in quality & technical matters, supporting them to achieve goals through innovation, quality & excellence.
The ideal candidate will be a natural leader and problem solver and have proven experience within a fast-paced technical environment, preferably within food manufacturing. A degree in Food Science Technology or a related science is essential.
