Theatres and Anaesthesia Ninewells Hospital Anaesthetic Practitioner Registered Nurse (RN) / Operating Department Practitioner (OPD) – Band 5 Anaesthetics and Recovery 37 hr post An opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the multidisciplinary team within the operating departments in NHS Tayside. The post holder will work collaboratively to promote the delivery of evidence based patient care. Theatres can be an intense, fast paced environment, with a team working ethos being at the heart of the services we provide. The successful applicant will be based at the above mentioned site, but may be required to vary their workplace within the area covered by NHS Tayside, as required. Applicants must have good communication skills and demonstrate the ability to assess, plan and implement care for perioperative patients. Applicants must have evidence of completion of NES Core Competency Framework for Anaesthetic Practitioners, or completion of ODP NVQ Level 3/Diploma. You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UK NMC Register or equivalent (HPC ODP NVQ Level 3 / Diploma) and demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development relevant to previous experience. Hours of work are: Full time, with a commitment to day / night rotation and on call if required by clinical area.
