Responsibilities:
* Supervise the installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems at project sites.
* Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure mechanical systems are installed and commissioned according to project specifications and timelines.
* Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure mechanical systems meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
* Identify and resolve mechanical issues and malfunctions in a timely manner to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance of systems.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs. Prepare reports detailing the status of mechanical systems and any issues encountered.
* Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures related to mechanical installations and maintenance activities. Promote a culture of safety among team members and contractors.
* Provide technical guidance and support to site staff and contractors regarding mechanical systems and equipment.
* Monitor project costs related to mechanical installations and maintenance activities. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
* Proven experience working as a Mechanical Engineer in a construction or industrial setting.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.
* Solid understanding of safety regulations and procedures related to mechanical installations.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant engineering tools is a plus.
