A quick look at the role. The Business Support Officer role is a supportive function in the development of the West Sussex Recycling Contract. They will help guide, using data modelling practices to analyse information, creating suggestions for strategic and operational improvements and changes. They will identify data queries and trends. Supporting the West Sussex Recycling Team to operate a profitable business area in line with budget targets. Your core responsibilities. Identify where IT systems can help improve the way data is collected on the contract Use data modelling practices to analyse your findings and create suggestions for strategic and operational improvements and changes. Identifying data variances and trends. Manage EA returns process for all West Sussex – Recycling Facilities Ensure compliance with the Material Facility regulations, supporting in the operation of IT systems, procedures and training Complete Monthly and Quarterly reports for West Sussex County Council, accurately and in a timely manner. Support the Contract Manager with the management of the Recycling Centre Offtaker Contractors. Develop systems and procedures as required to support the development of the contract, delivering training to all levels of personnel. Use available IT tools such as Power BI and Sharepoint; to support the contract, optimizing business processes and improvements.
