We are the Information Intelligence Group (IIG) of CACI UK, a specialist software consultancy providing new bespoke solutions to solve complex operational problems.
With our HQ based in Bristol and additional offices across the UK, we offer a hybrid approach to work where you choose how much or how little you work from an office with regular trips to customer locations (typically along the M4 Corridor & London).
The Opportunity:
Working within our Central Government team, you will be working on one of our fast-paced, agile projects; using agile methodology and DevOps techniques to build backend systems, data processing pipelines, and progressive web apps for customers. As a Software Solution Architect, you will take a leading role in the delivery team, from defining/assessing high level technical architectures to managing relationships with our customers and taking accountability for delivering projects to agreed timelines.
You will oversee the full project lifecycle including project concept formalisation; requirements analysis and specification; software architecture design; software implementation and delivery; software training and support and software lifecycle and maintenance. Responsibilities will Include:
1. Implementing full-stack software solutions including design, development, and testing
2. Drafting technical Statements of requirements for cloud native applications and platform solutions
3. Defining and assessing technical architectures, solutions & business requirements
4. Production of high and low level technical designs & high level operating model designs
5. Ensuring best practice Agile methodologies (including SCRUM & Kanban) are implemented and followed
6. Providing consultancy support to customers, assisting them with technology choices and solutions to complex problems
7. Using a wide range of technologies, specialising in the use of open-source libraries and components
8. Deploying software systems to a mixture of environments including public (AWS and Azure) and private cloud
9. Managing relationships with our customers
10. Ensuring your knowledge and professional development keeps pace with an everchanging technology landscape
11. Providing leadership and support to delivery team members as required
The Fit:
We are looking for an experienced Architect with experience across a variety of challenging projects, architecting software solutions and producing high level technical designs. You will have experience working directly with customers or Internal stakeholders to generate solutions to complex technical problems & leadership skills to provide clear direction to engineers.
Previous consultancy experience or exposure to Government based projects would be useful.
Due to the industries we work in, we require all our team to be able to obtain security clearance. To qualify for this, you must be a British passport holder and have lived permanently in the UK for the last 5 years.
