About the Role:
As Legal Counsel, you will play a key role in providing legal support to the business across a wide range of commercial contract matters. You’ll be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with customers, suppliers, and partners, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and helping to manage legal risks across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide high-quality legal advice on commercial contracts, including sales, procurement, and partnership agreements, across multiple sectors including industrial, healthcare, and technology.
2. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts to protect the company’s interests while ensuring commercial objectives are met.
3. Advise internal stakeholders on risk management, legal compliance, and best practices in contract negotiation and execution.
4. Collaborate with other departments, including commercial, procurement, and operations teams, to support business objectives and strategic initiatives.
5. Monitor and advise on relevant legal developments and changes in regulations impacting commercial contracts.
6. Support the General Counsel in managing legal projects, internal governance, and ensuring the business operates within a robust legal framework.
About You:
1. Qualified solicitor with 2-5 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) in commercial contracts, ideally within a corporate or in-house environment.
2. Strong technical knowledge of commercial law, contract drafting, and negotiation, with experience in sectors such as industrial, healthcare, or technology a plus.
3. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.
4. Pragmatic, solution-oriented approach with a keen eye for detail and risk management.
5. Strong organizational and time-management skills, able to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
6. A collaborative team player with the ability to influence and work effectively across diverse business functions.
