About our Organisation
The Soil Association, formed in 1946, is the only UK charity which works across the spectrum of human health, the environment and animal welfare. That’s because we cannot tackle these issues in isolation.
We campaign for change, we support farming innovation, we serve healthy food in communities, we support and grow the organic market, and we protect forests. We couldn't do any of this without our supporters, partners, donors and dedicated staff. We make a difference in the world where it’s needed the most.
About the Opportunity
We are looking for a highly organised and detail oriented person to join our team. The Team Administrator provides a key role in office management for the Soil Association Scotland’s Edinburgh office and administrative support to Soil Association Scotland team and Food for Life Scotland programme. The postholder will provide office management and administrative support including financial administration, planning of and support to events and meetings, providing internal communications, and maintaining office supplies and materials. All this will support the team to fulfil our mission to transform the way we eat, farm and care for our natural world.
About You
The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, attentive, and anticipatory - whether you are creating new filing systems and communicating with staff about the changes, responding to an external enquiry, collating RSVPs, supporting a caterer training, or keeping tabs on office stationary stock, you are always one step ahead and planning what is needed. You enjoy working in an office environment and undertaking administrative tasks in support of our ambitious strategic goals.
