Salary: £49,325 per annum - including London Allowance. This is the expected starting salary for this post. Appointment at a higher point may be made for candidates who demonstrate exceptional skills and experience relevant to the role.

Applications are invited for the post of Legal Counsel in the Governance and Legal Department. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a qualified solicitor with substantial post-qualification experience (PQE) to support the General Counsel and advise on regulatory compliance issues. The Legal Counsel will provide support to ensure an effective in-house legal service, primarily focusing on contractual work, and will assist with a range of legal matters.
The Legal and Governance team consists of six colleagues covering data protection, Freedom of Information (FoI), UKVI, compliance, and legal matters.
To succeed, the candidate should be a qualified solicitor with significant experience in Contract Law. Strong communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and knowledge of Procurement Law (desirable) are essential. The ideal applicant will be a team player, capable of leading and developing colleagues, with excellent research skills.
