Salary Range: Grade 7 (SCP 18-23)
£30,559.00 - £33,401.00 (this salary is based on full time and will be pro-rated to 39 weeks)
37 hours per week Monday to Friday (hours negotiable for the right candidate)Our Lady & St Hubert’s Catholic Primary School is looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Pastoral Support. Our Lady & St Hubert’s Catholic Primary School is a two-form entry school with a Pre-School offering full and part time provision for 3 and 4 year olds.
The local governing body is looking to recruit a well-motivated, enthusiastic and resourceful Pastoral Support with previous experience of delivering effective and dynamic support to both children and families in a primary setting. The role will include improving attendance, working with outside agencies, signposting families, making referrals, attending meetings, home visits, co-ordinating Families First (Early Help) support, running sessions for parents and supporting children in school to overcome barriers to learning. You will be one of the trained DSL’s in school.
Candidates must have relevant qualifications, have excellent communication skills to develop effective relationships with both children and families and be able to work within appropriate professional boundaries.
We are looking for
• Level 3 in childcare, social care or family support work or equivalent qualification is desirable,
• An awareness of Safeguarding and Child Protection Issues,
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision,
• Previous demonstrable experience of working directly with children on both a one-one and group basis.
