Description:
The Credit Control role is initially a temporary position with hybrid working - 3 days per week in the Didsbury office and 2 remote. Reporting to the Credit Control Manager, key responsibilities will include:
1. Manage relationships with commercial colleagues and internal/external customers.
2. Drive continuous improvement within an environment of strong internal control and excellent customer service.
3. Address internal queries regarding payments, ensuring customers pay on time.
4. Manage the collection of all payments in a timely manner.
5. Regularly contact customers to ensure all relevant debts are managed via email/phone efficiently.
6. Run daily reports (e.g., DD, overdue report, cash forecast, and credit risk).
7. Support the Sales Ledger department with customer queries and resolutions.
8. Ensure ledgers are kept tidy and perform clear downs to allocate credit balances appropriately.
9. Assist with workload prioritization of the Credit Control Team.
10. Timely management of escalated queries, including effective administration across the team.
11. Download bank statements daily from multiple banks in various currencies.
12. Manage your own portfolio of accounts, posting daily cash and ensuring outstanding debts are collected in line with company policy.
Profile:
In order to apply for the role, you should:
1. Have previous experience in a Credit Control role.
2. Be able to consider a temporary role initially.
3. Be able to commute 3 days per week to the Didsbury office.
