Pre-surgical Preparation Support Worker

Job overview
Support Worker, Band 2 position to work in William Harvey and join a happy hardworking team delivering direct care to our Surgical admissions patients on admissions and Pre-assessment patients in a clinic setting. You will be required to work a rotational week in both areas.
Delivering a high standard of care to patients. In pre-assessment you will be required to weigh, measure height, MRSA swab and possibly CPO swab the patients. Record and report blood pressure, any abnormal findings, ECG and blood taking as well as also undertaking urinalysis. Working with a team. Training will be given. Care certificate will require to be undertaken.

Qualifications and training
* Good standard of secondary education
* Willingness to undertake the Trust care certificate.
* GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths
Clinical skills
* Experience of or awareness of a range of work practices in dealing with customers
* Able to develop the skills required for clinics
* Previous NHS experience
* Recent experience of working in a health care environment
