Hazelmont currently has an exciting opportunity for Shift Leader (Team Leader) to join our company in one of our homes!
Hazelmont Social Care have three established EBD Children Homes across the West Midlands. We are looking for Shift Leaders (Team Leaders) who will show great character, patience, compassion, care and have a desire to make a positive difference to children and young people’s lives.
Hazelmont offers progression and support to all candidates that are willing to learn and progress, with regular training & diplomas in residential care available for those who wish to complete!
What are the main duties of a Shift Leader (Team Leader)?
* Support children in the homes establishing a quality led service
* Develop safe, professional, supportive and nurturing relationships with the children
* Hold responsibility for the running of your shift as the main point of call and decision making in line with policy and procedures and the individual child’s risk assessment
* Ensure documentation is completed, accurate and kept up to date in accordance with policy and procedures
* Lead by example and with confidence
* Follow the PACE model and Therapeutic approaches

Skills & Qualifications
Essential
* Must have a minimum of 1 year’s experience working within a children's home
* Previous experience within a children’s residential home
* UK Driving License (Must be willing to commute)
Preferred (But not essential)
* Level 3 / 4 Diploma in children and young people (or equivalent in residential care)
* The successful applicant will undergo a free enhanced disclosure from the disclosure barring service & other compliance checks required
