Key points are: To visit patients in their homes and prepare their automated peritoneal dialysis (APD) machine Visit patients at home, at night, and commence their dialysis treatment when required Visit patients in the morning to disconnect them from their dialysis machine Carry out peritoneal dialysis fluid changes in the patients home when required Monitor patients stock of dialysis equipment, carrying out stock counts when requested Changing patient dressings to their dialysis tube To work in the Home Therapies Unit assisting the qualified nurses To work as an effective member of the multidisciplinary team Following appropriate training and assessment, undertake clinical and non-clinical duties in support of the registered nurses in the Home Therapies Unit When required, to help on the Home Therapies Unit supporting clinics and daycase patients
