Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for data integrity and migration? Do you have experience in the banking sector or payment operations and want to contribute to high-impact projects? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Data Migration Analyst to join a critical migration project for a global bank.
Role Overview: You will play a pivotal role in migrating customer data to a new online banking system, ensuring compliance with EMEA payment regulations and ISO20022 standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Extract data from legacy systems in collaboration with the Tokyo Head Office.
* Map, cleanse, and validate data to meet the required formats and standards.
* Create and use macro tools (e.g., VBA) to accelerate data transformation processes.
* Import, manually input, and register data into the target system while ensuring integrity.
* Liaise with business representatives, developers, and Project Leads to address data issues.
* Maintain meticulous documentation, including WBS, RAID, and migration scope reports.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
* Strong understanding of data migration principles and file formats (XML, CSV, JSON, etc.).
* High proficiency in MS Excel, VBA, and Python for transformation tools.
* Familiarity with source control principles and version management.
* Knowledge of EMEA payment systems (e.g., EUR SEPA, GBP CHAPS, SWIFT payments).
* Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
* High level of discretion with sensitive data.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience in banking, particularly payments and global transactions.
* Hands-on experience in online banking systems.
* Ability to communicate technical migration details to non-technical stakeholders.
