We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic individual to lead, manage and drive, promote and ensure best practice in the recruitment and enrolment of post 16 students and young people across all Sports Connect programmes in Kent, ensuring a professional approach to Sports Connect’s programmes.
This role will involve managing the recruitment of students to a variety of the sports connect education and community programmes, managing the day to day enrolment and admission process for all post 16 students and young people, including creating positive and established secondary school, higher education, adults, key stakeholders and community partner links and ongoing relationships. We are seeking a motivated individual who can reach targets in terms of student enrolment numbers and can work with the wider management team to ensure we are recruiting students we can have a positive impact on their lives, ensuring a smooth process for students being allocated to a sports connect programme. The role is also responsible for motivating and inspiring the team to deliver the highest level of customer service, to meet Sports Connect's values, expectations and strategic targets.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Working with Head of Operations, Inclusion Team and The Marketing Team initiate an extensive and robust student and young person recruitment process for all the company’s education and community programmes across Kent.
2. Monitor the provision of a customer focused service to applicants and enquirers, ensuring a prompt processing of applications and enquiries, meeting agreed turnaround times and maintaining an efficient operation at all times, all year round.
3. Manage the production of systems and processes to support recruitment, admissions and progression processes for all of our students and young people.
4. Working collaboratively with the Marketing Team to support the design and implementation of impactful marketing strategies to boost student and young people admissions to our programmes.
5. Plan, organise the effective delivery/presence of presentations/appearances at secondary schools, colleges, careers fairs, liaise with key stakeholders and partners regarding attending partnership and participation meetings focused on students and young people.
6. Identify and pursue new opportunities for collaboration to promote Sports Connect programmes to a wider audience through attending business networking events and establishing Sports Connect specific networking events.
7. Oversee the admissions and attendance process, ensuring compliance with GDPR and legal standards.
8. Support the team in creating engaging content and promoting key promotion and admissions events such as “football trials” “open evenings” “site visits” etc.
9. Continue to drive submission of education and community applications.
10. To ensure that the target number of students are successfully recruited across all education sites in Kent.
11. Any other duties outlined by line manager, senior lead team and board of directors.
Safeguarding -
Essential:
* Sports Connect is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults. The candidate’s ability to perform the duties aligned to safeguarding and Prevent strategies within this role will be explored during the interview process.
* A Sports Connect DBS will be carried out if offered the role.
Desirable:
* An enhanced DBS no older than 3 months.
Education, qualifications, training and work experience -
Essential:
* GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths at Level 4/Grade C or above
* Experience of recruiting young people onto educational programmes.
* At least 1 year experience of being in an education setting.
* Up to date safeguarding.
* First Aid qualification.
Desirable:
* A Degree.
* Previous experience in education and community settings recruiting young people.
* A previous recruitment role.
Knowledge, skills and experience -
Essential:
* Experience in Google Workspace.
* Knowledge/experience of using databases & spreadsheets.
Desirable:
* An understanding of ICT platforms such as Trello, Slack, Outlook and Google.
* Recent experience of working with young people in an education environment.
* Evidence of making a positive impact on students and their families.
* Experience of successfully mentoring students in a FE setting.
* Knowledge of strategies to improve student attendance.
* Knowledge/experience of current Attendance guidelines and legal framework.
