External Examiner – Doctorate in Clinical Psychology
The School of Health & Social Care at the University of Essex is seeking to appoint an external examiner for our Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. This three-year full-time doctoral-level training programme is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and approved by the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).
The programme does not prioritise one model or approach, but instead draws on a number of different models and approaches including cognitive-behavioural models, psychodynamic approaches, systemic and integrative approaches alongside developmental, socio-political, critical and other perspectives. The main therapeutic modalities are CBT, systemic and short-term psychodynamic models.
We would like to appoint an External Examiner who can enhance the quality of teaching and learning within the School. For the post of Award External Examiner, we seek a candidate with systemic family therapy qualifications, an AFT accreditation, and an occupation as a clinical psychologist.
