Job Advertisement: 1-1 Teaching Assistant (SEMH Provision) An SEMH alternative provision in Liverpool is seeking a compassionate and reliable 1-1 Teaching Assistant to join its dedicated team. The provision supports students with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs), offering a safe and nurturing environment where they can feel secure, develop their confidence, and achieve their full potential. In this role, you will work closely with students on a one-to-one basis, providing personalized support to help them overcome challenges and succeed in both their academic and personal development. The ideal candidate will be patient, empathetic, and passionate about education, with the ability to build strong and trusting relationships with students. Key Responsibilities: Deliver tailored support to students with EHCPs, encouraging engagement in learning and fostering skill development. Maintain a positive and nurturing environment, contributing to the strong behavior management ethos within the provision. Collaborate with teachers and other staff to implement effective, individualized strategies for each student. Track and document student progress, adapting support to meet changing needs and providing consistent encouragement. Requirements: Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an SEMH or similar setting. A proactive, empathetic, and adaptable approach to meeting individual needs.
