The Role:
As our Maintenance Technician, you will work alongside the existing maintenance team and carry out planned and reactive maintenance works as delegated or specified by the Estates Maintenance Manager.
The Estates Department endeavors to deliver a service to support and maintain a high-quality environment within financial and resource constraints to support the excellent quality of Teaching and Support Services within the College so Students and Staff will benefit from a first-class experience.
Responsibilities as our Maintenance Technician:
* General maintenance duties throughout the estate working both independently and as part of the team on all College sites.
* Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance to a variety of building services.
* A bias toward plumbing would be beneficial. Comfortable with dealing with minor leaks and plumbing works/ blockages/ W/C maintenance.
* Water hygiene / legionella knowledge would be beneficial but not essential.
* Carrying out work on the fabric of the building in connection with maintaining the safety and compliance of the College buildings.
* The ability to prioritise urgent and non-urgent repairs and manage workload and responsibilities appropriately.
* Maintaining any necessary records and providing information as required.
* Carrying out minor repairs on furniture and equipment as required (excluding technical equipment and machinery in laboratories, workshops and teaching areas).
As our Maintenance Technician, you’ll ideally have:
* General maintenance experience.
* Communication skills including written and verbal.
* Full, current driving licence.
* Mobility between sites (transport provided).
