Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Main responsibilities include:
1. Providing a clinical psychology service to clients of the Bromley CAMHS Adolescent Team, providing highly specialist psychological assessment and intervention.
2. Offering advice and consultation on clients' psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to other, non-professional carers and providing supervision to clinical psychologists/psychological therapists and trainees.
3. Providing initial assessment and care coordination for a defined number of young people whose care is provided by the Adolescent Team.
4. Offering supervision to more junior staff.
5. Working autonomously within professional guidelines, consistent with CYP-IAPT principles and within a multi-disciplinary team, contributing to overall service delivery as required.
6. Utilising research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the team/service.

Training & Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. HCPC registration
2. Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent
Desirable criteria
1. Other relevant qualification (e.g. MSc, Post Grad diploma)
2. Training in specialist therapy relevant to post
3. Training in supervision (beyond basic induction training)
Experience
Essential criteria
1. Experience of working as a clinical psychologist in CAMHS in the NHS for 2 years or more.
Desirable criteria
1. Experience of working as an 8a
2. Experience of supervising
3. Experience of consulting to other professionals and agencies
4. Experience of delivering teaching/training
5. Experience of clinical leadership of an aspect of a service
Knowledge & Skills
Desirable criteria
1. Demonstrates knowledge of how to apply research and audit specific to the post
2. Demonstrates knowledge of wider policy context relevant to post
3. Possesses transferable skills from other posts (not already scored) which are relevant to the post
