About the role:
Production of financial data and reports to agreed timetables, to work with business to ensure financial controls are in place and reporting needs are met. To ensure that the systems operate adequately to protect the division's financial and administrative integrity, Advance and develop all procedures and systems
As a Group Account - 2 year FTC, it will be your responsibility to:
* Preparation/review of monthly accounts
* Producing reconciled monthly and year-end accounts in accordance with agreed timetables
* Central finance tasks/projects e.g. Capex analysis, sustainability etc.
* Provide strong technical accounting input both in terms of IFRS and FRS102
* To assist with quarterly external IFRS reporting forming the basis of the published Brenntag SE consolidated, audited financial statements
* To support and develop (local and group) reporting systems to assist local management, and to streamline and standardise reporting
* Coordinating with auditors (both internal and external)
* Preparation of annual statutory accounts, and assistance with external auditors
* Assisting with integration of acquisitions
Your Skills & Experience:
Education
* Recognised Professional Accounting Qualification (such as ACA, CIMA or ACCA)
* Either from Industry or Practice (good post qualification experience is ideal but not necessary)
Training / Skills
* Good level of IT skills - Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
* Excel skills - Pivot Tables, Lookups
* Good communicator
* Attention to detail
* Team player
Useful Experience
* Preparation and interpretation of management and statutory accounts
* Technical knowledge IFRS / FRS102
