We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a Group Finance Manager to join our team in Glasgow.
This role pays between £55,000-£65,000 plus benefits.
Role Overview
The Group Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end finance operations, financial planning and analysis, and monthly reporting. This role will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes across the group, while also driving continuous improvements in procedures and controls. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop the finance team, consisting of two accountants and four transactional staff, ensuring high performance and professional development.
* Oversee the preparation of monthly accounts and group consolidation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
* Lead the analysis of monthly financial performance, providing key insights and recommendations to senior management.
* Prepare the Group Update for presentation to the Board, delivering clear and concise financial insights.
* Monitor and manage working capital, providing accurate cash flow projections to support business operations.
* Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting to ensure alignment with business objectives.
* Manage the financial year-end audit process, liaising with external auditors to ensure smooth and timely completion.
* Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, reporting, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Key Skills & Experience
* Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/CA preferred).
* Strong experience in group financial consolidation and reporting.
* Proven ability to lead and manage finance teams effectively.
* Comprehensive understanding of all transactional finance functions.
* Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic organisation.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into meaningful insights.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
