Job Description
What will you be doing?
We're seeking a talented individual to join our Private Client Tax team in Bristol. This role will provide tax compliance and advisory services for a wide range of private clients - individuals, trusts, private companies and family offices.
As A Private Client Tax Manager, your responsibilities will include:
* Responsible for a portfolio of clients which may include sole traders, partners, HNWIs, non UK domiciliaries, non UK residents, partnerships and trusts.
* Identifying possible advisory opportunities for the clients and managing these projects.
* Liaison with Partners, demonstrating strong management skills, including appraisals/monitoring staff performance, on-the-job training for junior staff, and addressing staff questions.
* Managing the administration of the portfolio of clients, ensuring all aspects of compliance, accounts, tax returns and tax computations.
* Preparing reports for clients, attending client meetings, and responding to ad-hoc questions and inquiries regarding their personal tax affairs.
* Providing exceptional client service and maintaining regular contact with the client team.
Qualifications
Experience and Skills:
* Experience gained within a professional services firm.
* Good knowledge of personal tax compliance and ideally some exposure to planning/advisory work.
* Ability to plan workload to prioritize tasks and meet conflicting deadlines under pressure.
* Good written communication skills necessary to draft correspondence with clients and HMRC to explain technical issues in an easily understandable manner.
* Strong inter-personal skills to liaise with clients and other staff members.
* Customer focus on meeting deadlines and responding to client needs.
* Ability to supervise staff members and support Directors.
Education and Qualifications:
ACA/CTA or equivalent qualification.
