The Shared Services team deliver specialist processes that have a direct impact on the performance of Network Rail, our customers and suppliers. These services include payroll, accounts, finance, controls and compliance, reporting, recruitment and helpdesk support.

Salary: £22,932.00 (Band 6)
About the role (External)
The ideal candidate will have:
1. Excel Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential. You must be able to use formulas, pivot tables, and other advanced features to analyse data effectively.
2. Attention to Detail: You must be detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy.
3. Good Communication Skills: You should be able to communicate clearly and professionally with both internal and external stakeholders.
4. Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and perform account reconciliations
5. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with the team, the wider shared services centre and other departments.
6. Time Management: Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
What does the role entail?
7. Manage and maintain the collections system
8. Monitor customer accounts and ensure timely payments
9. Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies/queries in a timely manner
10. Communicate with customers to address queries and proactively follow up on overdue payments
11. Build strong working relationships with our internal and external customers
12. Communicate with customers in a variety of effective methods, including telephone.
13. Collaborate with the team to improve collections processes

What happens next? If successful at shorting stage, you will be invited to a 30 minute MS Teams call which will consist of some competency based questions along with a excel assessment. The final stage of the process is a in person competency based interview located in Manchester.
